<<I would
be curious as to how often this condition evolves in children fed AIM vs
those who are bf and how often it occurs in bf children who have
received no
AIM at all vs those who received even one bottle of AIM.>>

Are you wondering if the AIM is what is causing this? That the
exclusively bf (not even one drop of AIM) would NOT end up with this
condition?

I know that my kids definitely do not make up a statistical sample
<grin>, but it has been my exclusively bf kids that have skipped several
days between bm's. My 1st child was bottle-fed from 10 days of age on
:-( and had a bm pretty much once a day. My 2nd child was breastfed,
although there were a few times (I can't remember how old he was though)
that I had to leave him and didn't have enough milk pumped so I had to
include a couple ounces of formula. He pooped at least once a day till
he was on solids. My next 2 had nothing but breastmilk until they were
on solids (well, my 4th is only 5 months old so he's had nothing but
breastmilk), and THEY have been the ones to go several days in a row
without pooping. Especially #4 - he is currently going about once ever
5-7 days. (Usually whenever we are needing to go somewhere or already
somewhere...ugh!)

In talking with other moms too, it's the ones who never had a drop of
anything but breastmilk that do the skipping days thing too.

I have no idea....just thought I'd throw my limited experience into the
mix. :-)
