Hi All,
I have had many clients over the last couple years with pierced nipples.
They need to be aware that milk my leak from the piercing, no big deal.
Yes, take the rings out. Leave them out? Well, some moms did and some
didn't. It didn't seem to matter, really. Leaving them out makes it easier
to nurse ad lib and quickly. Putting the back in means you have to take
them back out every time you want to nurse. Some moms put them in when the
baby was older and not nursing as often..Whatever works...Just don't try
nursing with the rings in like one of my moms did a few years back. ;) She
just couldn't understand why the baby fussed so much! New mom brain for
sure...
Warmly,
Jaye
