One of my most visceral/hair-raising musical experiences recently (a
close second to Karita Mattila's Met "Fidelio" last night, especially
those virtually imperceptible delayed entrances that make you hold your
breath) remains a frustrating mystery.

In Almodovar's "Talk to Her," a singer with a guitar croons softly at
the wedding scene, and I can't get him out of my mind. I am sure he is
a big star in Europe (and South America?), but I don't know who he is
and the studio credits don't help. Anyone?
