Dear Jayne, welcome to the list, and I am interested in this. I have not
seen this particular reference in my readings... I have heard of too much
animal fat causing this problem. I like to refer mothers to Jack Newman
MD's pages on bf, including a page on plugged ducts and mastitis, at
www.breastfeedingonline.com. Incidentally, there is information that states
that mastitis may not always have a fever component to it. The reference
escapes me. I am hoping someone else can cite it...fatigue is getting me at
this late hours. Kathleen
