For those who are working on the formula and PBS,
my kids were watching Cyberchase, an animated math
show for elementary school age kids.
Ther is a segment at the end that shows real people (as
opposed to cartoons) applying math in their lives. This
segment shows a teenager babysitting for twin babies
(I'd guess about a year old) The mother has left
instructions to mix their formula and put it into
their bottles. The point of the segment was to show
that the same volume of liquid looks different
in different size containers, but is really the
same amount of liquid (formula in this case).
My kids were outraged!
Just passing on the info in case someone is
organizing a letter writing campaign.
