Here are some recent recordings which are tempting:

Debussy's Pelleas et Melisande - Haitink - Naive 4923(3 cds)
Brahms' Violin Sonatas - Kaler/Peskanov - Naxos 8.554828
Messiaen's Complete Organ Works - Latry - DG 471480(6 cds)
Prokofiev's Piano Sonatas 6 & 8 - Guy - Naive 4898
Ravel's Piano Works, Volume 1 - Tryon - APR 5593
Bruhns German Cantatas - Junghanel - Harmonia Mundi 901752
Bartok's String Quartets - Vertavo Qt. - Simax 1197

Just one other note. Naxos has now joined the bandwagon in offering the
Holst Planets with "Pluto" added by Colin Matthews. Only speaking for
myself, I don't think much of this maneuver. Can't modern composers come
up with their own orignial works and refrain from adulterating works which
already exist? In effect, it looks as if Matthews has tied himself to an
already famous work in order to get more audience recognition. My view
is - leave great musical works alone. They don't need Matthews or anyone
else. Oh well, perhaps more planets will be discovered in the future, and
"The Planets" will be a two disc set.
