Here is what the Canadian equivalent of the PDR says about it.

"Pregnancy and lactation: The safe use of this drug in pregnancy has not
been established; therefore the use of procyclidine in pregnancy, lactation
or in women of childbearing age requires that the potential benefits be
weighed against the possible hazards to the mother and child."

Well, this is from the company, who cover their bottoms no end. There is no
statement in the CPS (Canadian equivalent of the PDR) that is more "it's
okay to breastfeed" than this. It don't get any better. So it's probably
okay.

Just for comparison, right beside it in the CPS is Kefzol (cefazolin, which
we use in babies all the time).

"Lactation: The concentrations of cefazolin in the mother's milk was very
low. Levels less than 0.9 µg/ml were found only in isolated milk samples
after i.m. administration of 500 mg 3 times daily for 2 days." Now, get
this: "Caution should be exercised when cefazolin is administered to a
nursing woman". Cover your frozen assets (it being winter in Canada)!
Aside from the fact that the drug is not absorbed from the gut...

So, if in doubt, the safest course is to urge breastfeeding (by the way, I
guess it doesn't matter to the physicians that the company urges caution
during pregnancy, eh?)
