Is this supposed to be a poor April Fool's joke? Or did you mishear?

Sir William Walton met and immediately asked to marry Susan Gil, an
Argentinean half his age working in the British Embassy in Buenos Aires
when he traveled there in 1948. He asked her for two weeks, and the day he
stopped asking her she suggested he ask again and she accepted. They were
married in Argentina and she left with him when he returned to Britain.
They spent most of their married life on the Italian island of Ischia,
where she lives yet.

Lady Walton, recently awarded am MBE for her work on behalf of her late
husband's music and for young people, would be quite surprised at the
great coincidences herein!
