I suppose Laurence has given everybody an opportunity to recommend their
favorites.  I'm not a big fan of choral music (except maybe Beethoven's
9th) but a year or so ago I discovered Vivaldi's choral music and found
it to be truly exciting.  For a beginner it might provide an excellent
introduction to baroque music and choral music at the same time.
