I believe that I used feeding and bfing interchangeably when I was
speaking
about my own kids. Bf was just how you feed babies. But then, we live in
Boston which is a pretty enlightened community in these areas.
I agree that we should be moving in this direction. Diane, you always
push us to think about the language we use and how powerful it is
as a way of educating and normalizing bf. Thanks for keeping us
thinking and keeping us honest.
I love the idea of showing pictures of laboring women and athletes in
childbirth classes. I am always looking for new ways to present birth
as a doable human activity. Does anyone have access to such pictures
or could tell me where to find them?
