Very true.  This is why I often suggest a washcloth or handtowel with hot
water over a sink for a few moments.  Much easier to do several times a day
than a shower is.  I've found that it helps to soften the breast enough that
hand expression into the sink is much easier.  I've also found that most
women don't really enjoy hand expressing much and truly do it just enough to
relieve pressure to aid latch, instead of getting fascinated with the
quantity able to pump.  :) Latching the baby is easier, but it doesn't
exacerbate the engorgement by mom producing even more milk.
