I generally show mom, with my fingers nearly touching, "Only squeeze out
this much. Then rub it between your fingertips to warm and soften it."
This way it goes a lot further. When mom takes it directly from the
tube without warming/softening it between her fingers, it takes a lot
more to cover. I point out to her that using more won't do her any more
good, it just soaks into her clothing! Even if a mom has injured
nipples, using it this way even the tiny tube (not the one-dose sample,
but the purple tube that's about 2 inches long and less than 1/2 inch in
diameter) should last her. Then I point out that what's left works
great on chapped lips, dry elbows etc.
