When Walton wrote a soundtrack score for the movie "The Battle of Britain"
he asked for Malcolm Arnold to conduct it for the recording sessions as he
felt he could trust him.  As it turned out, of course, the film company
didn't like the music and commissioned another from Ron Goodwin.  But one
piece by Walton remains in the finished movie, "Battle In The Air", and in
the credits you can see that it was conducted by Malcolm Arnold.
