What an awesome ad. And what a contrast to ads appearing in my home-town
this week. Here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, our city-owned utility company
is running ads for their fixed-rate electricity option. They are using the
tag-line "easy living." The copy in the print ads refers to making life
easier, and the photo illustrating the ad is of a family on a couch with the
mother feeding a young infant a bottle. There are also billboards, and an
insert in utility bills. The same promo including photo can be found on
their web-site here:

EPCOR has a corporate affairs email address on their site:

I have contacted a number of local breastfeeding proponents here in Edmonton
and I have written a letter, but it would be great if others would also
write, especially other Canadians. EPCOR markets its services in Calgary as
well as Edmonton, and is expanding into BC and Ontario. If you have any
contacts you think would be interested in protesting, please feel free to
pass on this email to them. I can also send a copy of the letter I wrote to
anyone who is interested - email me at [log in to unmask]
