The New York Archaeological Council is Sponsoring Panel Discussion
at the New York State Archaeological Association Annual Meeting
Saturday, April 28th, 2001, at 4 PM

The New York Archaeological council is sponsoring a panel discussion
between the NY SHPO and archaeologists selected to represent dfferent
interest of the community.  Discussion topics will cover the current state
of archaeology in New York State, Cultural Resource Management, Avocational
Archaeology and Current Legislation and Policies.

Panelists will include Robert Kuhn, New York State Historic Preservation
Office, Charles Vandrey, Department of Environmental Conservation,
Christina Reith, New York State Museum, Gordon DeAngelo, Avocational
Archaeologist, Beauchamp Chapter, Nina Versaggi, Public Archaeology
Facility, SUNY Binghamton, and Karen Hartgen, Hartgen Associates, Inc.

Anyone wishing to suggest topics to be addressed during the panel
