JOHM L. COTTER AWARD

Please keep in mind that the Third Cycle of nominations for the John L.
Cotter Award is now underway. Information and a nomination form will
appear in the next issue of the SHA Newsletter and information is also
on the SHA Home Page.

The John L. Cotter Award fully depends on the SHA membership to
succeed. You, as members, must nominate candidates.

The Cotter Award goes to historical archaeologists at the start of
their careers who are either still students (undergraduate and
graduate) or in the first five years of their professional careers.
It can be for any type of achievement as long as it is truly
outstanding within its respective category.

Nominators must be members of the SHA and JUNE 30TH is the final
date for submitting nomination forms with October 1st the date for
completing each nomination file.
