I agree with what Madlyn says.  I too warn parents that an older toddler
may ask to nurse again.  I tell them because I want them to think about how
they plan to handle it (let them, refuse etc.) at least not with shock and
horror.  Some parents are amazed, hadn't even thought of the possibility!
(R/T our sheltered culture :-)  And I too have seen a few go  on to tandem
nurse a while.  This seems to especially happen with an  older toddler  who
 didn't like the taste or volume changes  near the end of pregnancy.
