I always get permission in writing from the mom when I take a photo. I use a
local photo shop (Wolf Camera) to develop my work pictures and slides, they
are a professional shop and I always explain what the photos are when
dropping them off. They usually write "medical photos" or "human anatomy
photos" on the package. I"ve never had a problem or refusal to develop.
BTW, at my last job, LLLI came out to photograph some moms, babies and
HCPs at work. I just received a new brochure on the CBI and the photo on the
front is one of our 1st year resident pediatricians, Dr. Brian Hartinger from
Chicago!
