When I first took some breastfeeding slides in to be developed, I
had this question. I do take them to a local film store rather that
dropping them off at the supermarket. I have written on the
envelope "these slides are intended for medical educational use",
but the shop states that isn't necessary. They do their own
developing right in the shop, so I mentioned their purpose to the
person who does the developing and he stated there was no problem.
In this case, the cost was only about 10% over the "generic"
developing and well worth it for the non-production line handling as
well.
