7th Variation

In this variation Isidro Barrio(Koch Classics 3-6404-2 H1) obtains some
perfect trills inside a rhythm gallant danced, with a incredible finesse
and refinement in another pianist. Barrio pricking the "tecla" in the most
crystalline point.

8th Variation

Entering a typical "bachiana" velocity, the sensation of disquiet that
produces this variation is dominated by the technique of the pianist, that
does not brake, being supported in the metric accents clarified in the
score. The velocity and strength does is not impediment for the repetition
of specific notes.

The Barrio left-hand, natural in him, for somebody that has not seen a
pianist of these characteristics, I has not seen it in nobody more, is of
a power and amazing independence. Its performance in live of this work is
still more!

To comment the interpretation of these variations in separated gives a lame
impression of the all in general. This version traps since the first note,
does not bore, and if the head permits you to follow the trail (difficult
for the majority of the persons) you will discover as they take advantage
of the resources of the piano in Bach.
