Dear Melissa,
Here's my only hypothetical 2 cents. I really know nothing about whether or not collagen works for weight loss but I do wonder about it's source. Tuna contains quite a lot of mercury and other heavy metals (courtesy of our contamination of the oceans). Much of this is located in the fat and meat but we also know that heavy metals are deposited in bone and other body tissues.
Tuna is on the "restricted" list for pregnant and lactating women and for children because of the mercury (One can of tuna contains more mercury than any of the themerisol-containing vaccines which were such a hot topic last year.)
I don't know how much of this stuff one uses at a time but for this reason, I would be a little concerned about it's use in pregnancy and lactation. Do I know this for sure? No, I don't but in my mind, it's a concern.
