Hello...
I have a few thoughts on uneducated Drs nurses etc.
It is by choice. They choose to stay ignorant on the
issue of breastfeeding. I have seen, heard and been
part of mothers who have had mis -information spewed
at them repeatedly?
I compare it to, the issue of hand washing. Everyone
knows washing your hands kills germs. Health care
providers should do it each and overtime they see a
new patient. Most do, some do not. Why? Because they
KNOW BETTER. They do not "believe" the truth in it.
I strongly suggest to the moms I deal with to advocate
for themselves and children. If a Dr. wont listen, its
time to move on.
There are some GREAT nurses and Drs, who advocate and
help breastfeeding moms. I bet they wash their hands.
