diana roberts posted : LACTOFERRIN IN BREAST MILK MAY
REDUCE MOTHER-TO-CHILD HIV-1 TRANSMISSION
Lactoferrin interferes with the replication of HIV-1,
according to a report
in the March 15th issue of The Journal of Immunology.

but the conclusion, copied here, is extremely strange,
isn't it?

"Lactoferrin is relatively cheap, is stable as powder
or tablets, is perfectly safe, and is effective
against a number of microbes including HIV and
bacteria," Dr. Hiroyuki Moriuchi told Reuters Health.
"Therefore, in many developing countries where both
HIV and other microbial infections are endemic and
life-threatening, children would benefit from
lactoferrin-enriched formula or lactoferrin
supplement."
