Andrea, having been on Lactnet since 1996, I know why there are so many
people posting that nipple blood is not red in the diaper. And it has
NOTHING to do with wanting to admonish of criticize you. [Sometimes that
happens too, but not in this case.]

Most subscribers don't read all of the posts, me included. When they do
have time to sit and read some e-mail, they see a topic and reply to it,
not reading the 6-8 other replies that said the same thing that they are
writing. They think that they are the first and only one pointing out this
profound information.

The list Mamas can attest to the fact that some posts are skipped. They
will write that such and such a topic MUST end right now. Still there will
be posts on that topic for several more days--sometimes one appearing a
month later from someone just catching up, but who didn't read Kathy B's
post saying, "Stop it!"

If a Lactnetter hasn't read the other 15 posts on a topic she doesn't know
that someone else said exactly the same thing that she is sure is a new
idea or observation. That is why I usually stop reading repeated subject
lines. It gets redundant. It is also why I sometimes change a subject line
if I want to be sure it will be read. I try to make the subject line
reflect the true topic, though.

So, don't take it personally, please. Those who keep saying the same thing
about your (and one other person's similar thoughts) thought about the
blood, don't know that their thoughts are not unique and un-needed. In
fact there might be a post next week declaring this "new" fact.
