hello all,
i am working with a mom who has a 3 week old baby. she has been having
breast pain (described inside, under areaola) on one side only. she has
breast implants. no other obvious cause for the pain. any thought?? i
see a few references in the archives to implants and breast pain, and a
reference in the Breastfeeding Answer Book, but can find nothing further.
if it is stretching scar tissue from the implants, should it get better?
anything to be done? perhaps it wil get better when let-down sensation
decreases, or shoudl she consider weaning on one side if it doesn't
improve? any thoughts appreciated - i have been assuming it is the implant
scarrign causing the pain - but perhaps i have overlooked someting totally
unrelated. no nipple pain, no signs, symptoms, or history of frequent
yeast infections, description doesn't sound like simple
milk-ejection-reflex pain . .. .
