Another excellent book on weaning is "How Weaning Happens" by Diane Bengson,
published by La Leche League. It's available from LLLI and in many popular
bookstores. Diane is a LLL Leader in Dayton, and interviewed hundreds of
mothers regarding how they and their children weaned. It's a good read -
well-written and packed with information, ideas, stories, and references.
Another goodie is "Mothering your Nursing Toddler" by Norma Jane Bumgarner,
also published by LLLI and now available in its second edition.
When I find good books like Diane's, Norma Jane's, and Kathleen Huggins'
"Nursing Mothers Guide to Weaning," I buy several copies - one for myself to
read which stays in my office, and the others to loan out to clients.
