Well, Michelle, I would assume that it would make these formulas "unclean."
They are unclean in my book and I'm not Jewish or Muslim. It gets even more
frightening when you look at pharming where human genes and animal genes are
being mixed in order to produce proteins for the pharmaceutical industry (and
infant formula industry). They are already spiking infant formula with
lactoferrin. Is it genetically engineered lactoferrin? Human lactoferrin?
Now, they keep talking about bovine lactoferrin. And, like I said before I'm
not sure what that is because bovine's only have trace amounts of
lactoferrin. Does anyone know what is really in a can of infant formula?

I am quite sure that the infant formula industry will have an infant formula
available that is "Kosher" for those whose faiths find this unacceptable. I
frankly think if more of the general public knew about the genetic
engineering of infant formula, we might have a heck of alot more
breastfeeding going on--especially exclusive breastfeeding. Valerie W.
