I'm not important. I don't have anything to do.
Well here you go - some responsibility. Not a bottle to feed the baby until
it's no longer a novelty or becomes inconvenient - in the big picture it
doesn't make sense to make more work to suit the whims of an adult under the
guise of "helping mom out".
It is now YOUR responsibility to bathe the baby every day from now on. Yes,
I know he's all wiggly and floppy and you've never done that before, but you
can learn. For the most part, it'll be a once a day event - maybe just a
wipe down, but on those "poop up the back of the diaper" days you may be
called into service multiple times. This job evolves as your baby grows.
Your procedures and tactics change - from newborn to 6 month old to toddler
and on... You'll love it.
Feeding time is Mommy time. Bath time is Daddy time. Both are important.
Here's your rubber duck.
