Really liked Dianne's line of thinking of mouth vs stomach hungry!
A bit like pregnant women putting on weight for bf, to guard against
uncertain food supplies, even tho we live in affluent lands.
I guess it could be a survival mechanism - babies who feed frequently have
an edge over the more placid wait-till-I'm-really -stomach-hungry type. Like
the "tiger babies"!
Maybe Dr Kathy Dettwyler has a comment?
