I raised this issue some months ago and was recommended to use End Notes.

Has anyone had any experience importing reference data from Word documents?
I have some references in reports that I would like to import and have the
reports in Word so is there a simple strategy to import references from word
to End Notes?

Also is their a style file for Historical Archaeology. There seem to be
50000000000 styles but none seem suitable for archaeology.
