I call this specific immune response the "diathelic immune response" - a term
given me by a local RN/IBCLC who has said that the term was used "ages ago"
in nursing text books. No reference of course! But I like the term as it
sounds so medically important- but for mother and baby, it is important
simply because it is just another extra added protection provided by the
physical act of breastfeeding.
