The National Park Service has a permanent archeologist position open in the
Washington, DC area.
The position will be located in the NPS National Capital Region Museum Resource
Center, and duties include prehistoric and historic artifact identification,
analysis, stabilization, etc; records preservation; archival research; technical
assistance to parks in curation of archeological collections; and field survey
and excavation. The vacancy announcement number is NPS-NCR-01-09 and can be
