Hi Trish,
    Photocopying  a borrowed copy has been suggested.  If all else fails, that
will be my strategy, but some reference works depend heavily on photographs
which often copy poorly.  We use a lot of photo copied material in the lab, but
we have some- times found that locating copies for that purpose isn't altogether
easy.

    Thanks for suggesting a final resort, better a Xerox than no book at all!
