 I think this is a very good point. It also explains the pressure some
 women feel to 'allow' their partner to share in the feeding, either
 with EBM or formula, and the fear men (and women) have that fathers
 won't be able to 'bond' with the baby if they aren't given the chance
 to feed. >>

This past week during lactation rounds at the hospital, I had a very
precocious 7 yr. old boy ask about breastfeeding. His question was how soon
his baby brother could get a bottle. My answer was at least 2-3 weeks. Well,
that was WAY too long. He was angry with me & didn't want to speak to me
again, except to tell me he didn't want to wait that long to feed his baby!
He also did not want his mother to breastfeed. She should just give the baby
a bottle.
His mom explained to me that she wanted breastfeeding to succeed this
time--she was not successful with the 7 yr old. Verrrrry interesting!
