As a non-professional lurker, I just have to get my comments in this discussion
anyway.

Of course breasts are sexual! They are a part of our femaleness, and serve both an
erotic function by virtue of their sensitivity and their beauty, as well as a
nurturing function in the reproduction of the species. I can't find anything wrong
with acknowledging the duality of female breasts.

Many parts of the human body have functions the serve both for survival and erotic
purposes. Just because we use our feet and legs for walking doesn't mean a man is
disallowed from finding a well-turned ankle sexually arousing. Are we repulsed by
kissing just because the mouth is used to chew? Of course not.

The fact that my breasts as *also* sexual did not prevent me from breastfeeding,
publicly or otherwise. In fact, it was the full appreciation of myself as female
in all aspects that made me accept everything for which they are capable. As a
culture, we have a problem with accepting the duality of anything that is connected
with sex, and a problem with assigning the sexual aspect the dominant ranking in
such cases. Breasts are nurturing, beautiful, functional, sexual, all at the same
time.
