Following on from my recent post on this subject, I forgot to mention the
case of the Schumann family.

both Robert and Clara appear to have been extremely talented musicians
and composers, Yet none of their several children seem to have made it
into the musical history books.  Surely, if the laws Mendelian genetics
mean anything, this should not be so.
