A collegue from our Dutch LC e-group (Nedlact) asked me to forward a case she is
struggling with. Please think with us to find answers and allow me to forward
your thoughts to her.
''In our outpatient clinic is a pregnant woman in whoes anamnesis is a
led-poisoning.
''Led circulates in the blood and will settle in the bones. Her blood was
treated and clean.
''The woman is pregnant now and the led from the bones is coming into the blood
again and
''in the baby as well. Led can lead to brain damage in the baby. Led will pass
into her milk
''as well. The question is if it is wise for this woman to breastfeed or not.

''for Environmental Research does not know. Have you heard of this and if so
what are your
''experiences? The woman had severe physical and psychological effects during
the accute intoxication.''

Bij ons op de poli is een zwangere mevrouw die in de anamnese een
loodvergiftiging heeft gehad. Lood gaat dan in je bloed zitten maar zet zich
ook vast in je botten. Het bloed is gespoeld en weer schoon. Mw is nu
zwanger en nu komt het lood uit het bot weer in het bloed en ook bij het
kind. Lood heeft negatieven effecten op het kind nl. lichte hersen
afwijkingen. Lood gaat ook over in de moedermelk. De vraag is nu is het
verstandig dat deze mw borstvoeding gaat geven ja of nee? Het RIVM is gebeld
en weet er niet goed raad mee.
Hebben jullie hier wel eens van gehoord en zo ja wat zijn je ervaringen en
wat moeten we doen?
Mevrouw heeft tijdens de vergiftiging erg veel lichamelijke en psychische
klachten gehad.
