Laboratory Technician
PAL, an independent, not-for-profit CRM firm, seeks an experienced
Laboratory Technician who works with the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure
that the PAL laboratory facility runs smoothly and efficiently. The
Laboratory Technician is responsible for cataloging, curation, and
providing daily support to the field archaeology staff (equipment,
supplies, and cultural material management). This is a regular, full-time
position with competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Successful applicants will have:
-demonstrated competency in archaeological laboratory procedures
-two to three years of professional laboratory work experience,
preferably in a CRM environment
-strong knowledge of regional historic and pre-historic cultural
material
-computer proficiency with Windows operating system, word
processing, and database management software applications
-strong organizational and time management skills, and flexibility
in re-arranging work assignments
-excellent communication skills and ability to foster positive team
relationships
-work experience as a field archaeologist, with the ability to join
PAL's field crew from time to time
