Dalia,
What are your kids' mouths like? Tongue ties? High palate? Recessed
chins? All these things are genetic traits, and are likely to recurr in
families. I often see moms who have had pain with most/all of their
children, and the explanation is clear to me when I go looking at
everyone's mouth... I've gotten so clued into this issue that I can hear
minor tongue restrictions when I talk to moms on the phone!
I only had pain with my tongue-tied son, not a second of discomfort
with my daughter whose tongue is free. He needed braces and maxillary
expansion, she most likely will not need braces at all, according to the
orthodontist.
