Jeremy Mc Millan:

Well, I don't know the reasons in which this questioning is based, so
I suppose that, as a reader, I am perhaps in liberty to question the
sexuality of many Chopin's biographers. The same thing happens with Byron:
he had hundreds of women, and many people says that he was homosexual
precisely because of this (a great evidence, indeed). We begin to suspect
of this "questioning-your-sexuality-mania" when we think that, in order to
"proof" that somebody is homosexual, the opposite argument is often used.
