Revisiting the pop-borrowing-from-classical aspect of the thread, on
Richard Thompson's song The Great Valerio (on Richard & Linda Thompson's
I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight, probably the finest record RT has
made,) a tragic piece about a tightrope walker, at the very end Richard
plays on solo acoustic guitar the brief sequence from Satie's Sports et
Divertissements cycle depicting "La Balancoire," the tightrope walker.  It
complements the song perfectly, and the piece sounds great in RT's hands.
