No I didn't know about the vocal part.  I should add that last night during
dinner I had a phone call from a friend.  He said, "you will never believe
what came out on CD. Guess!" Without trying I said, "I give up." He
replied, "it is something I have on LP and it was something I NEVER thought
would be released on CD and it is on BIS." With that information I knew it
was the Kalnins.  After taking the wind out of his sails a bit, he went on
to tell me that the new recording is significantly better.  He added that
the tempo is far more appropriate to the rock tune, the orchestral playing
is excellent and the sound is wonderful.  I will give it another try in
this new recording, but my main interest will be to hear the Garbage
Concerto.
