I'd like to second Todd Michel McComb's suggestion to read his program
notes on Scelsi at the SFS Website. While my reaction to the music might
well have been -- as he is suggesting -- "predictable," I said before and
say again that the program notes (in the great tradition of our saintly
Michael Steinberg) are interesting, informative, and certainly far more
"positive" than my reports, and yet not at all fawning or hyping.
"Predictably," I am not looking forward to the next SFS Scelsi, but do
anticipate reading the program notes with interest.

(This could start a new trend: reading *instead* of listening? I'd call it
"literature.")
