I've not been able to find an aqueous GV solution either.  What I've
done and suggest to moms is - they paint their nipples, allow to air
dry, latch that baby on.  This treats mom, lets alcohol evaporate,
treats baby too.  Much easier than trying to paint inside a baby's mouth
and possible cause them to gag.

One caveat is an older baby may want to refuse the breast.  My son did.
I'd try nursing him when he was sleepy or it was dark.
