If a report in today's Sunday Express is to be believed, the bow used by
winner Guy Johnstone and which lost hairs so liberally, was a "6000 pound
bow on loan from a well-wisher".

Any comment on that from the MCML cello section?

The article is mainly about the family tragedy of Guy's brother Rupert - a
horn player - severely injured and brain-damaged in a car accident.
