K is for Koechel, who was the first to make a complete catalogue of
Mozart's works.  His ordering is roughly chronological, but modern
scholarship (IIRC) reveals some timing errors on Koechel's part.

So is D (for Deutsch) with Schubert, and Hob is for van Hoboken with Haydn.
