Jill,
First I must ask what is a stereotactic biopsy? I have tried to look this up
and have not found an answer.
I was reading in Susan Love's book on bx and first off she said a woman never
has to wean to have a bx. So I applaud you for resisting the surgeons
recommendations to wean. My next question is why not start with a needle
aspiration first and then there is also needle bx that can be done to a lump
for diagnosing, both less invasive than cutting and less messy.
Regrowth of the severed ductals has been discussed in past Lactnet in regard
to reduction surgery. There has been testimonials from women who had
surgeries and then later achieved full lactation.
By the way, Susan Love is rewriting her breast book and is improving the
chapter on breastfeeding. Not sure when the new version will be out.
Good luck with your results.
