POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
ARCHAEOLOGAL PROJECT DIRECTOR

The Chapel Hill/Durham, North Carolina office of TRC is seeking a qualified
project director to direct archaeological survey, site testing, and data
recovery investigations.  TRC is a full-service environmental firm with
cultural resources staff in Connecticut, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee,
Texas, New Mexico, and Wyoming. This is a full-time, permanent position,
with a competitive salary and full benefit package.

The successful applicant must have a graduate degree in archaeology,
anthropology, or a closely related field (M.A./M.S. required, Ph.D. a plus)
and at least two years of supervisory (as Field Director or Principal
Investigator) experience, preferably in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern
regions.  The applicant should also have demonstrated abilities to work
within schedule and budget constraints, to complete projects in a timely
manner, and to produce high-quality reports. Candidates should also have
good communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and
willingness and availability to travel as necessary.
