Has anyone else heard the new Telarc disc of Rozsa violin and cello
concertos (c/w slow mvmnt of the double concerto)? This is an outstanding
release in every way: McDuffie and Lynn Harrell are the soloists, Yoel
Levi conducts the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

I am surprised at how good this music is: stylistically somewhere
between Bartok and Shostakovich concertos, exceptionally well crafted and
orchestrated, and full of originality. Anyone who enjoys the Bartok and
Shostakovich concertos can't go wrong with this CD.

Solo and orchestral contributions are first rate, the sound is
demonstration quality.
