According to the Da Capo Catologue, BWV 1036 is the first of four Trio
Sonatas, BWV 1036-1039.  It is indeed in d minor.  However, it is spurious,
along with 1037 & 38.  1036 & 38 are thought to be by CPE Bach and 1037 by
Goldberg.  As far as I know, it was not intended to be a variation on A
Musical Offering.  Hope it helps
